This is the statement of general policy and arrangements for: 

SURGE

has overall and final responsibility for day to day health and safety procedures for Surge staff, employees, and participants working within the Cadogan Street building.

Prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health by managing the health and safety risks in the workplace

Continuous monitoring of work environment and current H&S procedures, and completion and implementation of Risk Assessments as appropriate.

Provide clear instructions and information, and adequate training, to ensure employees are competent to do their work

Provision of inductions, and completion of induction forms as appropriate.

Engage and consult with employees on day-to-day health and safety conditions

Application of best practice and common sense in day to day liaison.

Implement emergency procedures – evacuation in case of fire or other significant incident.

All staff are aware of nearest fire exits in work spaces. Ryden, the managers of the building at large, have responsibility for briefing all tenants on fire procedures. Regular fire alarm tests occur in the building.

 

Maintain safe and healthy working conditions, provide and maintain plant, equipment and machinery, and ensure safe storage/use of substances
