Three Acts by Bethany Edwards
Tuesday 24th March, 3pm-4pm, Surge, 51 Cadogan St, Glasgow, G2 7HF

'Three Acts' (working title) is a two-hander improvised performance in which audience interaction inspires the content; their ideas transformed in real time into dance, text, and character. Join the two performers on a journey ripe for the unexpected as they skilfully weave improvised movement and voice into a surprising performance. By turns dark, funny, touching and surreal this show rests on the knowledge that everyone is in it together, creating something that only ever exists here and now.
In this work an improvised performance means that all creative decisions – physicality, duration, space, form, narrative etc. – are made in the moment.
Join us for an early-stage work in progress sharing. Performers Bethany and Tess will be testing out ideas and strategies for transforming external input into spontaneous performance. This will be an informally held space with time for discussion and feedback.

About Three Acts
Let performers Beth and Tess take you on a journey ripe for the unexpected in this entirely improvised work unfolding across two solos and a duet.
Through conversation and interaction, it is audience input that inspires the content. As the audience watch their ideas spontaneously transformed into performance our hope is to reveal in real time a key to the process of creation.
By turns dark, funny, touching, and surreal. The performance skilfully weaves improvised voice and movement, traversing the worlds of contemporary dance, physical theatre, and storytelling.
This show rests on the knowledge that we are all in this together, performer and audience, in the creation and experience of something that will and could only ever exist here and now.
