Surge Games Night

Surge is hosting an evening of video gaming! Open to everyone from performers, artists, avid gamers, closet gamers, wannabe gamers to those of you who never even managed Snake on your first nokia. Surge is researching the integration of digital technologies to performance and looking at ways to connect theatre with the world of gaming.
So take a break from your studio/rehearsal room/darkened bedroom and spend some time with us playing video games!
This is the first stage in developing working processes combining performance with gaming environments and streaming portals such as Oculus Quest, AR games and Twitch TV.
We’d welcome artists to register your interest regardless of experience with gaming. Whether you’ve never picked up a controller in your life or you’re a lifelong fan, come along and try out some games.
Games Night will take place at Surge’s Tech Box studio at Cadogan Street, Glasgow. The event is free but there are limited places. To register your interest please contact Kirsten Kearney at kirsten[@]surge.scot or call the office on 0141 248 6910.
