The Mash Collective is a collaborative theatre project by Surge, which provides hands on training opportunities for emerging physical theatre practitioners to create devised responsive work from a stimulus in non traditional spaces.
Using an unusual site, existing local artwork or festival theme as inspiration the selected Lead Artist(s) direct an ensemble cast of emerging performers with artistic mentorship from experienced practitioners and high quality production support from Surge. The Mash Collective is a great way to involve the local community as part of a larger event or create a stand alone performance as part of a wider training programme.
