Outdoor Arts Showcase

Call for Artists

Outdoor Arts Showcase at Surge Festival on 4th July 2020

Application Deadline: 5.00pm on 24th June

Surge Festival 2020 will now take place online on 4th July 2020. As a part of this Surge is offering outdoor arts companies and artists the possibility to showcase work that is already made (either completely or partially) – but has not had the chance to be performed yet due to the inconvenience of a global pandemic.

We would like applications from artists or companies who can perform a short extract (max 5 minutes) live from their back garden, their street or local park or anywhere suitable and legal through the medium of Zoom.

As a part of Surge Festival, Neil Butler is curating Moving Out Symposium in partnership with Surge and In-Situ, supported by Outdoor Arts UK, Articulture and FST.  This means programmers from across Europe will be attending the event. The showcase is the final session of the symposium.

Please send a short description of your show, your company or personal biography and how you would present an extract on Zoom (max 500 words). If possible a short recording of how this would look on Zoom would be even more helpful.

Please send all applications to alan@surge.scot by 5.00pm on 24th June.
