Digital Sharing: TANK and BALLAD OF THE CRONE
Friday 18 December
Surge’s two indoor bursaries – Ballad of the Crone and tank – will be performed digitally at Manipulate festival in late January. The sharing is a chance for the artists to present the work to an audience for feedback for the first time. Afterwards the audience is invited to some remote Christmas drinks!
The sharing is at 5pm – 6pm on Friday 18th December, with a feedback session for each, and then drinks and Zoom socialising straight after. For the Zoom link, email melanie@surge.scot and hit attend on our Facebook event to stay up-to-date.
Ballad of the Crone: A physical theatre performative lecture about connections, inheritance and loss. A cooking show that is an attempt to understand what holds us apart and what brings us together. An intimate psycho-magical documentary. For more information click here.
tank: tank is a one-woman show combining live performance, UV light, and digital animation, about choosing loneliness, becoming trapped by your own mind, and how trying to stay in control means you can soon spiral out of it. She might feel safer than ever, but Lucy doesn’t realise she’s just as trapped as the fish in her tanks. And outside, the water is rising. For more information click here.
