Covid-19 Statement

Due to the current health crisis, Surge’s immediate programme of events will be postponed. We are reviewing our whole programme and will release details of individual events as soon as it is possible.

We are currently working hard to contact our funders and partners and establish clarification on plans to mitigate loss of income. Be assured we intend to honour our agreements with artists wherever possible and will be urging other arts organisations and funders to make it their top priority to minimise the impact on artists health, wellbeing and financial security. Those whom Surge have a contract with or have made a verbal commitment to, will be contacted personally as soon as we can.

Beyond this, Surge’s commitment to the entire street arts, physical theatre and circus community in Scotland remains the same – to support you. If you need advice or support as an artist at this time, we are here for you. You can call Alan Richardson on 0044 (0)141 248 6910, however, as Surge staff will be working more often than not from home, it may be hard to get through to us by phone – so please email alan@surge.scot or any Surge staff member, and we will call you back.
