Apply for Pitch

Do you have new or in-development work (street arts, physical theatre or circus) that you want to try out in front of

an audience? Then Pitch is looking for you!

Surge presents a special Pitch, in partnership with OutdoorArtsUK. The event will run alongside OutdoorArtsUK’s Ideas Summit on 22nd November in Glasgow.

Surge is seeking performers developing new work that can be adapted for performance both indoors and outdoors, to create acts that can be shown all year. We encourage applications from throughout the UK and Ireland. Travel and accommodation will be provided where appropriate.

Selected acts each will receive £50, plus £50 per performer, up to £300 maximum. Surge will also provide technical support,  travel and accommodation expenses (where appropriate). You will also receive professional mentoring for your performance.

We are accepting proposals of new or in-development physical performance pieces (or extracts) of maximum 10 minutes. Send us: a short bio, a synopsis of what you want to do, the production requirements of your piece and the total amount of people involved in it. (max. 300 words) Proposals should be sent, in one document, to alan@surge.scot by 7th October 2018, 5pm.

If you have any further questions please contact Alan Richardson at alan@surge.scot.
